Job Description

MSA Security is seeking a Marketing Manager to spearhead the organization’s marketing program as the company scales to meet the needs of a national and international marketplace. This is a critical position with defined growth opportunity for a motivated, creative and results-oriented individual. The ideal candidate will carry 5–7 years of proven success developing and implementing marketing strategies and programs, preferably for a B2B service-based organization.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Marketing Manager will develop and own a comprehensive B2B marketing program to drive qualified, strategic leads through the sales funnel while retaining and growing existing client relationships. Quickly gaining a keen understanding of the industry’s competitive landscape and customer demographics, they will guide brand positioning for the company, designing and executing marketing initiatives that add value and improve conversion. Charged with significant creative independence, the Marketing Manager will craft and implement strategy recommendations to support penetration of new and existing geographies and industries. They will be accountable for identifying, tracking, and reporting on key performance indicators, as well as making necessary tactical adjustments to improve ROI and reach quarterly and annual goals.

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage a comprehensive field/event marketing program to facilitate networking and pitch opportunities for sales directors
    • Determine trade show participation plan, with consideration for geographic and industry specific goals
    • Enhance hospitality program to improve customer satisfaction and retention
    • Strengthen and expand participation in industry groups to maximize opportunities for networking and exposure
    • Identify KPIs for all field marketing activities, track performance against KPIs, report findings and analysis, and make adjustments to the annual plan
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive digital marketing program that leverages and optimizes the full range of digital tactics using the HubSpot platform.
    • Maintain and optimize website performance, ideally leveraging basic HTML coding knowledge
    • Enhance SEO/SEM strategy
    • Develop effective lead magnets to support list growth and new leads
    • Conceive and execute email campaigns with the goal of providing value, educating, and entertaining
    • Collaborate with Marketing & Communications Director to leverage blog and earned media for digital outreach
    • Oversee social media activity and develop strategies to transform followers into buyers
    • Identify KPIs for all digital marketing initiatives, track performance against KPIs, report findings and analysis to executive management, and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Oversee creative direction on visual branding and graphic design across all digital and print marketing materials
  • Delegate to and coordinate with retained marketing agency for execution of marketing campaigns and materials
  • Delegate administrative marketing functions to in-house Marketing Assistant
  • Coordinate with sales representatives and account managers, providing resources to support lead development, retention, cross-selling, and up-selling
  • Coordinate with sales leadership to ensure marketing initiatives are effectively supporting overarching objectives, revenue goals and timelines


Requirements

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing and/or communication
  • 5-7 years’ demonstrated experience designing and implementing marketing programs that support sales in B2B service-driven organization
  • Demonstrated success meeting quantifiable marketing goals and metrics leveraging digital tactics such as SEO/SEM, email, social, blog, etc.
    • Experience with CMS, HubSpot preferred
  • Demonstrated success meeting quantifiable marketing goals and metrics leveraging field /event marketing tactics such as trade show participation, hospitality programs, networking participation, etc.
  • Experience executing or overseeing graphic design and branding initiatives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office required
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
